Custom or Modified Transformers

| Modified Transformers
Most Jensen transformers are available with slight modifications such
as different part numbers, different lead types or extra shielding cans
at a modest extra cost. Please keep in mind that special requirements will
result in longer lead times as modified transformers will need to be made to
order. Contact our sales department for more information.

| Custom Transformers
The unique combination of features embodied in Jensen Transformers can provide
solutions for seemingly "impossible" problems. Their high Common Mode Rejection
Ratio, extended Low Frequency Response and Extremely Low Distortion
make them a perfect choice as interfaces for many specialized test and measurement
instruments such as:
|
Audio Precision® - System One and System Two Output Transformers
Jensen Transformers manufactures the output transformers used in these "State of the
Art" audio measurement systems. Developed to function in Audio Precision's patented
distortion cancelling output drive circuit, these transformers provide high output
level at vanishingly low distortion. |
Stanford Research Systems - Model SR554 Low Noise Preamplifier
Jensen Transformers worked closely with SRS to develop a 1:100 step-up ratio
transformer with an Extremely low noise voltage of 0.1nV per root Hertz for
use with low impedance transducers with very low signal levels. The Common Mode
Rejection Ratio of this transformer is over 120dB at 60Hz and the Frequency Response
extends from 40kHz down to an amazing 0.1Hz! |

Specifying a Custom Transformer
When inquiring about a custom application, you will need to provide us with certain
basic information. This will help us do the best possible job designing your product.
Custom Transformer Basic Specifications:
1) Driving Source Impedance
2) Transformer Secondary Load Impedance
3) Low Frequency Requirements
4) High Frequency Requirements
5) Maximum Low Frequency Input Level
6) Nominal Reference Level
7) Maximum Allowable Low Frequency Distortion
The more information that you can provide, the better that we can determine the optimum
design for your application. We can help you in determining some of the above parameters
if you are not certain of them. We can also help with modifications to your interface
circuit design in order to optimize it's performance when used with one of our transformers.
